Desde los tiempos de la prehistoria, el hombre se ha valido herramientas que le permitan mejorar las condiciones de vida. Es así como primitivo fabricaba herramientas, vestimentas, enseres, etc., toso esto para su comodidad.
Entonces podemos afirmar que la tecnología siempre ha estado presente y al servicio de la humanidad a lo largo de la historia del hombre y sus beneficios han sido de gran ayuda. Es así como a través de las invenciones tecnológicas se ha mejorado en campos como: las comunicaciones, la medicina, la industria, la educación entre otros. Pero con el trascurrir de los últimos años los roles se han invertido y la tecnología le está ganando el pulso a la humanidad poniendo a esta al servicio de la tecnología deshumanizándola y volviéndola dependiente de la tecnología.
Es así como surge la siguiente pregunta: somos dependientes de la tecnología? Tal como lo señala un artículo de el periódico El Tiempo del 16 de octubre de2016, los teléfonos inteligentes se han convertido en artículos imprescindibles y son utilizados cada día por un mayor número de personas y cada vez a edades más tempranas. De allí que se presenten alteraciones en el comportamiento, pues las personas sienten miedo sin ninguna explicación, por el hecho de haber dejado el teléfono móvil olvidado en la casa, o por no tener cobertura o quedarse sin batería.
Si analizamos este divertido cortometraje se hace una fuerte critica al consumismo, es asi como hoy en dia nustra vida esta atada a los dispositivos electrónicos como la TV, computadora y más que cualquiera, los smartphones. A aparte del tema principal del video el cual es el consumismo, este toca otro tema como es el de la obsolecia programada, efecto conocido de casi todo producto actual, lo cual significa que los productos están hechos para durar un poco tiempo y debe de fallar en cierto tiempo para que este producto tenga rotación.
Esta critica va dirigida especialmente a los productos de Apple, el fabricante de dispositivos mobiles, el cual está haciendo uso innecesario de la obsolecencia programada pues las algunas de las mejoras de éstos equipos no justifican un cambio contra el modelo anterior; en este cortometraje ejemplifica claramente lo que pasa por lo menos con las versiones mas antiguas de estos aparatos para lograr la migración de los usuarios de modelos anteriores. Todo con el fin de “obligar” a los usuarios de estos dispositivos a mantenerse actualizados con los productos de esta empresa.
Como conclusión vemos como este video nos muestra de una forma gráfica mediante la relación entre los humanos y la tecnología, en donde compara a los seres humanos con robots los cuales son dirigidos mediante una relación mediada por el consumismo y la dependencia tecnológica que está viviendo la sociedad, la cual está causando efectos negativos principalmente en los jóvenes, quienes son fácilmente influenciados por el mal uso de la tecnología convirtiéndolos en seres gobernados por estereotipos creados por un “ ser supremo” llamo consumismo, el cual solo busca el beneficio individual a costa de la deshumanización del ser humano.

In the video he talks about how technology has been present through all time and has always been hand in hand with the evolution of human beings. At the conference talking about the incursion of technology in areas such as education, the media, society etc. First of all technology is defined as an extension of humanity, which aims to facilitate technological progress by each human tasks, while a reflection on the role of technology in our lives is done.

Technology is defined as a system of organization that helps more easily accomplish all human activities.

On the other hand the negative points that has brought technology and how this can affect our lives are exposed. An example of these are addictions that this brings, clear example is the use of electronic devices such as cell phones, computers, video games, TV, which are being misused by humanity, creating dependent human beings of all these artifacts , which causes dependence sedentary lifestyle and loss of social contact with other human beings.

The use of technology can cause changes to neurological level, because the brain must assimilate the amount of information that occurs when using multiple devices simultaneously, but can also cause changes in behavior since they are leaving aside the emotional and behavioral relationships between human because every human being is leaving dominated by electronic devices.

Many tasks that involve some mental effort are being delegated to computers and other devices, adversely affecting the functioning of the brain, causing distraction, dependence and mental laziness in humans. Another example is the loss of memory and writing which in ancient times were great, but now with the advent of computers has been lost because we let these do the work than before to our brain.

In the video the speaker talks about the negatives of technology:

• The loss of attention and mental abilities by using technology.
• The negative influence of technology on new generations.

Those are some tips to assimilate technology.

• Talking with children and teach them to estimated.

• Talking about friendships in social networks.
• Do not use electronic devices during family gatherings.
• Do not blame technology for negative things happen.

The uses of technology in recent decades have reached many areas and have brought many benefits, although there are arguments against that say that the high cost of this technology limits its uses. But we know that technology has made the world more accessible to everyone.

Advances in technology have positively affected the industrial development in many areas, then we will see more benefit areas:

investigations have ended with many diseases and ailments, manufacture of new drugs and medications to prevent and eliminate diseases. Communication between patients and doctors is more flexible and records kept thanks to technology have allowed to study and diagnose diseases easily. The costs of medical procedures and operations have declined, positively affecting health systems.

Benefits of Technology in Education

Thanks to technology have opened up new learning environments, the internet makes it easier to meet the needs of knowledge in the child. Distance education has helped literacy in all countries, and Education online is simple and easy to use.

All these benefits in the education sector, make personalized learning meet all the objectives of education and students are the biggest beneficiaries.
The use of computers and all the technology in the classroom created effective methods of teaching and learning.

The communication industry is also benefiting from the growth of social networks and blogs, reaching more people and more places that did not arrive, the people can communicate easily and barriers are over, these are some benefits:

Benefits of Business Technology

Lower production costs and higher profitability, increase the standard of living of people. Production costs were reduced thanks to the automation of processes, research led to the invention of new technologies, the company accounts and customer records are stored easily, increasing collaboration and also competition among enterprises, being the most benefited the consumer.

Although there are repercussions against the use of technology, it cannot be denied that outweigh the benefits.
